A few weeks ago, Facebook’s algorithms decided to introduce me to The Indestructibles. They said I might like them.
Damn them. They were right.
So I got in touch with Fal Thompson to see what it was all about….
Next week, they are ‘on-the-turntable’ as our Musician of the Month. So, for no particularly sensible reason, Thursday has temporarily been renamed Fal-day.

What does punk actually mean in 2026?
Forget the Mohawk, the ripped T-shirts and proving you know three obscure tracks from an album.
As Fal puts it:
“It’s not a uniform. It’s a culture.”

Mohawk. Beard. Punk frontman. Shades.
All looking suitably rock ’n’ roll.
Except there’s a rather less rock ’n’ roll reason Fal started wearing the sunglasses in those videos...
Made me laugh…..
3. What Does Success Look Like?
The Indestructibles have been building a rapidly growing audience, but Fal’s ambition isn’t particularly complicated.
He wants to make music.
Why? For a very simple reason.
I liked that. And I really like Fal and his refreshing honesty.
